Independent health benefit agency opens in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS —  Grove Benefit Advisors, an independent health insurance agency based in Fort Collins, has opened to help Coloradans choose coverage during Connect for Health Colorado’s open enrollment, which runs through Jan. 15.

The agency, with an office at 2580 E. Harmony Road, Suite 201,  helps individuals, families and small employers compare plans, check eligibility for financial help and enroll in coverage that fits how they use care.

This year’s open enrollment carries higher stakes than usual. Individual-market premiums will rise about 10% on average statewide in 2027, according to the Colorado Division of Insurance.

Cigna is leaving Colorado’s individual market at the end of 2026, so more than 40,000 Cigna members along the Front Range, from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, will need to choose a new plan. New federal rules also change who qualifies for financial help in 2027.

Grove’s licensed advisers meet with clients by phone or video at no cost to the client. Plans cost the same whether someone enrolls on their own or through a broker, and Grove is paid by the insurance company.

“A lot of people are going to open a renewal letter this fall and not like what they see,” Tina Price, founder of Grove Benefit Advisors, said in a prepared statement.

Coloradans must enroll by Dec. 15 for coverage that starts Jan. 1.
