Edeburn named FRCC’s first AVP for IT
FORT COLLINS — Paris Edeburn, who has led statewide data system implementations for the Wyoming Community College Commission, has joined Front Range Community College as its first associate vice president for information technology.
Edeburn most recently served as the Wyoming panel’s chief technology officer and brings to FRCC decades of experience in information technology and extensive work within community college systems. She began her new position at FRCC on Oct. 5.
“This elevated position is mission critical,” FRCC President Colleen Simpson said in a prepared statement. “Technology shapes nearly every interaction our students and employees have with FRCC, from the classroom to the help desk. Getting it right requires systems that are secure, reliable and built around the people who use them.
“Paris has spent her career making technology work across an entire system of community colleges, not just individual campuses,” Simpson said. “That perspective is exactly what we need as we strengthen our partnership with the Colorado Community College System’s IT office and plan for what our students will need next.”

“FRCC’s IT team is responsible for ensuring students and employees throughout the institution have reliable, secure access to the information they need to succeed,” Ethan Johnson, FRCC’s vice president for operations, said in a news release. “We are investing in our information technology by elevating this position to strengthen the tools we all use every day.”
Edeburn has led complex technology initiatives and guided organizational change and collaboration across the Wyoming community college system. She holds a master’s degree in information technology from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as professional certificates in risk management, project management and federal executive competencies for chief information officers.
“I look forward to drawing on my experience leading technology across community college systems to strengthen secure, reliable and people-centered services at FRCC,” Edeburn said in a prepared statement. “By partnering with students and employees, the college’s IT team and the Colorado Community College System, I know we can build an integrated, future-ready technology environment that helps every member of our community succeed.”
As AVP for information technology, Edeburn will provide strategic leadership for IT services including technology infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, user support, data and systems integration, and technology planning.
