Will Deion Sanders testify at son’s bankruptcy trial during Buffs’ opening week?

BOULDER — National sports outlets are reporting that University of Colorado football coach Deion Sanders has been subpoenaed to testify at son Shilo Sanders’ bankruptcy trial during the same week that the Buffs open up the season Sept. 3 on the road against Georgia Tech.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Michael Romero, who will oversee the younger Sanders’ Denver trial that starts Aug. 31 and is expected to last five days, brought up Coach Prime’s potential scheduling conflict at a recent pretrial conference, according to USA Today.

Romero “said he wouldn’t be surprised if Deion Sanders tried to fight the subpoena to testify at the trial,” USA Today reported Sunday.
