Vero Fiber completes acquisition of BendTel

BOULDER — Vero Broadband LLC, a Boulder-based company that provides high-speed fiber internet services, has completed its acquisition of BendTel Inc., based in Bend, Oregon.

The deal was completed after the companies received approval from the Federal Communications Commission.

The acquisition accelerates Vero’s expansion as a fiber internet provider in central Oregon. Vero Broadband, which operates as Vero Fiber, began deploying fiber-to-home services in several Bend neighborhoods earlier this year, including the Portland Avenue and River West areas.

With the BendTel transaction complete, Vero will accelerate its residential fiber expansion into additional communities such as Old Bend and the Orchard District, bringing gigabit-speed fiber connectivity to thousands of additional households, the company said in a press release.

“Finalizing this acquisition is a meaningful step in our growth across Central Oregon,” Sunita Krishna, CEO of Vero Broadband, said in a written statement. “BendTel has been a trusted partner for enterprise and commercial clients for more than two decades and we are excited to integrate their experienced team and well-built network as we continue delivering fast, reliable fiber service with a local touch.”
