Greeley-Evans Transit plans rebrand

GREELEY — Greeley-Evans Transit representatives plan to rebrand the transit system and have launched a survey to gather information from future customers.

An updated transit system calls for a “Mobility as a Service” approach where residents pay for different ways to get around, including on buses, shuttles, bikes, scooters and microtransit services, according to materials on a City of Greeley website. The approach moves beyond fixed transit routes of bus service, and is set to serve Greeley, Evans, Garden City, Windsor, Johnstown, Loveland and Fort Collins, according to the materials.

“It’s time for an updated transit system that can support our region for years to come,” the materials say.

Transit workers also are planning “mobility hubs,” where multiple transportation options will be together, the release says. Customers will be able to plan, pay for and combine different ways of getting around in the future, according to the release. 

Interested persons can take the Northern Colorado Regional Mobility Brand Survey here. The City of Greeley Mobility representatives are working on the project with Studio Six in Longmont. Financial details were not immediately available.
