North Loveland Community Health Center receives $400K grant 

LOVELAND – The Colorado Health Foundation recently awarded a $400,000, two-year grant to the McKee Wellness Foundation to benefit the North Loveland Community Health Center.

The North Loveland Community Health Center opened in May at 201 W. 69th Court to offer medical care, dental care, mental health services and prescription support to uninsured and underinsured residents. Sunrise Community Health, a nonprofit group, operates the health center, along with 13 other facilities along the north Front Range. 

“This capital support will free up critical resources and allow for even greater flexibility in responding to the needs of our community,” Nate Lamkin, executive director of McKee Wellness Foundation, said in a press statement.

McKee Wellness Foundation has a longstanding relationship with Sunrise Community Health, the nature of which “has saved and changed countless lives,” Lamkin said.

The North Loveland Community Health Center is accepting new patients, and has a capacity for 5,000 patients, according to the press statement. There is another Loveland health center office affiliated with Sunrise at 302 3rd St. SE. Other health centers are in Evans, Greeley and Windsor, and the group’s administrative offices are Evans. There’s also a mobile clinic.

The nonprofit McKee Wellness Foundation was founded 44 years ago to support McKee Medical Center. The foundation bridges gaps in health and wellness in northern Colorado. The Colorado Health Foundation is a private nonprofit group that started in 1995 and transitioned to nonprofit status in 2016.
