Landmark wins contract to map gas-distribution services
LOVELAND — Landmark Engineering, Procurement and Construction has been awarded a contract to locate and map more than 75,000 miles of main gas-distribution lines and 1.5 million miles of service lines.
A Landmark spokesman confirmed to BizWest that the contract was awarded by a “major gas provider” and that “we’re mapping everything they have in Colorado, Minnesota and Fargo and Grand Forks” in North Dakota, using GPS mapping for more accuracy to meet federal regulations. He would not confirm who awarded the contract because, he said, the gas provider didn’t want to be identified. However, Xcel Energy Inc. provides gas in those areas.
According to a media release, Landmark EPC was awarded the contract based on its professional services, time of delivery and use of ProStar’s PointMan Precision Mapping Solutions.
