10 businesses receive BBB safety awards

Ten businesses in the Boulder Valley and Northern Colorado have received Better Business Bureau Best in Safety Awards.

The safety program operates throughout the state; a total of 19 companies statewide were recognized for their safety efforts. Pinnacol Assurance sponsors the program.

To win, companies could have no losses from June 1, 2020, through May 31, 2021, have a loss modification factor of .85 or below, and be Cost Containment Certified by the state.

The safety program helps BBB accredited businesses reduce workers’ compensation costs by reducing premiums 4%, by providing safety education programs and by having an opportunity to earn an annual dividend based on group performance.

Safety group participating insurance companies include Flood & Peterson, PFS Insurance Group, Carver and Associates Insurance, Taggart & Associates, Glenwood Insurance, Martin Insurance Group, Centennial Insurance Group, and Ewing-Leavitt Insurance Agency.
