Copper Labs closes $2M funding round
BOULDER — Copper Labs Inc., a startup developing real-time utility-monitoring devices, has raised $2 million in a funding round led by National Grid Partners, the investment arm of National Grid PLC.
The investment will support the company’s “efforts to help electric, gas and water utilities engage consumers with real-time meter data for improved control, with or without smart meters,” according to a company news release.
Dillon McDonald, vice president of incubation at National Grid Partners, will join the Copper Labs board of directors, the release said.
