Charlotte’s Web hires new sales exec

BOULDER — Charlotte’s Web Holdings Inc., a Boulder-based CBD and hemp extract firm, has hired Tony True to serve as the company’s new chief customer officer.

In that role, True, who was previously executive vice president of sales for supplement maker Pharmavite LLC, will lead Charlotte’s Web’s “sales strategy and forecasting, customer development and relationships, and retail execution,” according to a company news release.

True’s experience also includes senior positions with Kellogg Co. and Pepsi Beverages Co.

Charlotte’s Web has been steadily building its executive team in recent months. Elsner, also formerly of Kellogg, was brought on in April. Former Coca-Cola vice president Eugenio Mendez and was hired in January as the CBD firm’s chief growth officer. The same month, pharmaceutical industry veteran Stephen Lermer was onboarded as chief operating officer.
