Colorado Spirits Importers looks to raise $1.5 million

BOULDER — Colorado Spirits Importers LLC is looking to raise $1.5 million in capital.

The company has raised $254,000 so far, according to a Form D filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Sept. 28. The company is raising the funds through an equity offering, as well as through options to acquire other securities. The date of first sale was Aug. 28.

Colorado Spirits Importers is the company behind Suerte Tequila, according to its website. The Boulder-based distillers make several tequilas, including rested and aged versions.  Manufacturing occurs in Mexico, co-founder Laurence Spiewak told BizWest, and operations occur out of its Boulder offices.
