Columbine Health plans expansion projects in Fort Collins, Windsor
FORT COLLINS — Columbine Health Systems, led by owner and chief executive Bob Wilson, on Monday said it will construct 34 patio homes at its senior-care campus in Fort Collins, along with 45 independent-living apartments and a 45-bed skilled nursing facility at its campus in Windsor.
The Columbine Patio Homes will be constructed at the corner of Shields Street and Drake Road on the health system’s 53-acre campus in Fort Collins. Construction is expected to be completed by May 2018.
The homes will have floor plans similar to Columbine’s existing Westwood Patio Homes in Windsor. The designs include step-free entrances and homes, wider halls and doorways, accessible bathrooms and showers and accessible kitchens with reachable appliances and cabinets for storage. A lease for a patio home includes 24-hour maintenance, lawn and landscape care, snow removal and some utilities.
