Soopers, Denver Community credit unions to merge

A pair of Colorado credit unions focused primarily on the Denver metro area have announced plans to merge, though a new name hasn’t yet been determined.

The Denver Business Journal reports that Sooper Credit Union in Arvada and Denver Community Credit Union will join forces by the third quarter of next year. Sooper has branches in Arvada, Aurora, Lakewood, Colorado Springs and Grand Junction, while Denver Community serves Adams, Arapahoe, Jefferson and Denver counties.
