Stantec completes $793M acquisition of Broomfield-based MWH Global

BROOMFIELD – Canada-based engineering firm Stantec Inc. announced on Monday that the company has completed its $793 million acquisition of Broomfield-based MWH Global Inc.

Stantec announced in March its plan to purchase MWH, an engineering, consulting and construction management firm focused on water and natural resources for built infrastructure and the environment. MWH, which has 187 offices in 26 countries globally, had 6,800 employees worldwide at the time the deal was announced.

It remains to be seen what the deal might mean for MWH’s Broomfield office. Officials for neither Stantec nor MWH could be immediately reached Monday.
