Owner of assisted living facility near Longmont arrested
The owner of an assisted living facility north of Longmont has been arrested on fraud and theft charges for allegedly stealing $200,000 from a resident.
The Times-Call reports that Christopher Butler, owner of Timberline Lodge Assisted Living, 9198 Jotipa Dr., is facing seven counts of theft, six counts of fraud and one count of forgery. He is alleged to have written himself checks from an 83-year-old man’s bank account over the course of six years.
