Manufacturing jobs up 5 percent in Colorado in 2014
Colorado’s manufacturing employment increased to 116,642 in 2014, up almost 5 percent from 111,160 the previous year. That’s according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Annual Survey of Manufactures report, released last week.
Annual payroll for the manufacturing sector in the state increased to $6.81 billion, up from $6.33 billion in 2013. Colorado shipped $54.86 billion in goods and services during 2014, compared with $52.02 billion the prior year, according to the report.
