300 Suns Brewing co-founder Mark Lusher succumbs to bone cancer

Mark Lusher, co-founder of 300 Suns Brewing in Longmont, died Sunday at the age of 42 after a bout with bone cancer, the Times-Call reports.

Lusher was head brewer at 300 Suns, which became Longmont’s fourth craft brewery when it opened early last year. He’d co-founded the brewery with his wife Candace Newcomb, and Dan and Jean Ditslear.

The brewery announced Lusher’s passing on its Facebook page on Monday. Lusher had come to brewing from the IT industry and had owned the Colab co-working space in downtown Boulder.
