Berthoud’s Blackeagle Energy Services acquires Polaris Drilling
BERTHOUD – Oilfield-services company Blackeagle Energy Services announced Monday that it has acquired Polaris Drilling Inc.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Officials for Berthoud-based Blackeagle – the tradename for Desco Acquisition LLC, a division of Desco Corp. – said the deal adds complementary services to the company’s portfolio, and will help Blackeagle expand its footprint into the Uinta and Piceance basins in eastern Utah and western Colorado.
Blackeagle operates four divisions: one that makes equipment for the oil and gas industry, a facilities construction division, a field services division and a pipeline construction division.
