MAD Greens co-founders Dan Long and Marley Hodgson, which will maintain a minority stake in the company as well as serve in leadership roles, said in a post on the company’s Facebook page that the acquisition will fuel the MAD Greens’ growth.
“It’s a big change for us, but it absolutely does not change our commitment to the future of MAD Greens, a restaurant company that we are proud of and want to build for many years to come,” Long and Hodgson said on Facebook. “This is what we love to do – and new ownership and capital will allow us to do what we love on a broader scale.”
MAD Greens sells salads, sandwiches and soups, and says it gets its ingredients from Colorado farms, bakeries and dairies. The company plans to open additional locations in Colorado, a spokeswoman said.
