Crocs reportedly mulling strategic options


NIWOT – Crocs Inc., the shoemaker known for its colorful clogs, is considering options such as a leveraged buyout and a stock buyback, according to media reports and the company’s latest earnings report.

Niwot-based Crocs (Nasdaq: CROX) has hired investment bank Moelis & Co in New York to explore its strategic options, according to media reports. Moelis & Co. spokeswoman Andrea Hurst declined to comment. Crocs spokeswoman Katy Lachky Michael did not return a request for comment.

Crocs also has held talks with private equity firms, including Blackstone Group LP and KKR & Co., both headquartered in New York, according to…
