SendGrid has managed 20 billion emails

BOULDER – SendGrid, a young Boulder-based email delivery company, has reached a milestone by sending 20 billion emails on behalf of its customers.

The milestone caps a year of growth for SendGrid, which has a client roster of 30,000 web application companies and developers using its email service, including foursquare, Spotify, Airbnb, Twilio and Path.

SendGrid, a company that was developed through the Boulder TechStars program and launched in 2009, uses a cloud-based platform to deliver 2.2 billion emails per month.

“The 20 billion milestone is a big win for our team and reflects our relentless commitment to providing our customers with exceptional service and support.” said Isaac Saldana, co-founder, who at age 31 was named to the Boulder County Business Report’s Forty Under list in February, 2011.

SendGrid is backed by Foundry Group, Highway 12 Ventures and several individual investors.
