Crocs reports profit on tax gain
NIWOT – Crocs Inc. (Nasdaq:CROX) reported higher revenue and a profit for the third quarter on some one-time tax and sales gains.
The Niwot-based shoemaker reported $177.1 million in revenue for the third quarter, ending Sept. 30, 2009, up 1.7 percent compared to $174.2 million during the same period a year ago. Officials said the third-quarter revenue included $11.5 million in planned sales of previously impaired footwear.
Crocs reported a net income of $22.1 million, or 25 cents per diluted share, in the third quarter compared to a third quarter 2008 net loss of $148 million.
