Your July 7 series “Taking Control of your Own Health Care” addresses the changes in health insurance.
The United States has seen a 300 percent increase in the number of patients enrolled in HSAs and HRAs in the last year alone. When consumers purchase health-insurance plans such as HSAs or those with higher deductibles, the premiums are typically lower than conventional group plans. This results in the patient paying for more for their health-care bill and the health-insurance company paying for less.
