CU, Wyoming wait for supercomputing verdict

BOULDER – The decision on who will partner with the National Center for Atmospheric Research to pursue a proposed $75 million supercomputing center is in its final stages.

NCAR has wrapped up its meetings with university officials in Boulder and Cheyenne, but is waiting on the National Science Foundation to help make the decision. The foundation will provide a bulk of the funding for the project.

NCAR officials declined to comment on a time frame for the decision, but said they would be meeting with NSF officials during the next couple of days.
