U of C Federal Credit Union changes name to Elevations

BOULDER – U of C Federal Credit Union has changed its name to Elevations Credit Union.

The 53-year-old Boulder-based credit union is looking to shake the image that it can only serve University of Colorado clients.

The old name “no longer represented the full scope and diversity of our account holders,´ said Bill Sterner, Elevations’ chief executive and president.

About 70 percent of the credit union’s 76,000 members have no affiliation with CU.  Membership is available to employees at more than 150 local businesses and nonprofit groups.
