Western States Bank moves, but not far

FORT COLLINS — Western States Bank, an affiliate of Nebraska-based Valley Bank and Trust Co., will move one of its two Fort Collins locations to take advantage of a more visible site on North College Ave. and the convenience of a drive-up window.

The bank, now tucked into a storefront adjoining Albertsons Food Center at 1630 North College Ave., will relocate to a former restaurant location at 1298 North College Ave., just three blocks south.

Western States paid $350,000 for the 2,630-square-foot building that had, over the years, housed three fast-food restaurants — the Burger Inn, A&W Root Beer and, most recently,…
