Galyan’s opens new store in Lakewood today

LAKEWOOD – Galyan’s Trading company Inc. (Nasdaq:GLYN) is opening an 84,000-square-foot sports and outdoor adventure store at the Belmar Center, a new lifestyle shopping center in Lakewood.

The Indianapolis-based company is also committed to building a store at The Shops at Centerra, a 665,000-square-foot lifestyle center now under construction at the northeast corner of the Interstate 25-U.S. Highway 34 intersection in east Loveland. The Shops at Centerra is expected to open in fall 2005.

Galyan’s Lakewood store is the fourth in Colorado and the third in the Denver area. It will include a 46-foot rock climbing wall, golf simulator, putting green and archery range and also offer ski and bike tuning and repair services.
