Tech latest in long line to offshore American jobs; any end in sight?

Where is my software made? I’m going to start checking for a label. I drive a Japanese-made SUV. From head to toe, I’m dressed in clothes manufactured overseas. Both my Columbia clogs and my New Balance tennis shoes are made in China. I doubt a single pair of slacks or shirt in my closet actually was sewn by an American.

The fact that U.S. auto and textile jobs were lost to overseas workers years ago is hardly news.

But the forecast that high-paying technology jobs are on the same path is fast becoming one of the harshest debates to hit…
