LOVELAND – Beginning July 31, area residents will be able to fly to Las Vegas without a lengthy drive to Denver International Airport, compliments of Allegiant Air.

Beginning today, commuters should be able to confirm their reservations for Allegiant flights that will operate from the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport.

Initially the airline will fly to Las Vegas on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays using a 161-seat MD-83 aircraft on the route.

Allegiant Air, a Las Vegas-based airline, announced in May that it would bring limited commuter service to the Front Range.
