NCMC board to hire own spokesperson

GREELEY — The North Colorado Medical Center Inc. board is moving to hire its own spokesperson. The board has interviewed three public relations firms and will announce its choice on March 26, Board President Don Cummins said.

The board wanted its own spokesperson in the coming months as it explores whether it will renew its contract with Phoenix-based Banner Health System or find someone else to manage the Greeley hospital’s daily operations, he said. Banner employs its own spokespeople, both for the hospital and the system.
