Boulder picks Pollard Motor land as site for future city transit hub

BOULDER ? Formal negotiations should soon begin for purchase of land for a new transit center at 30th and Pearl streets in Boulder, Boulder planner Micki Kaplan said.

Staff from the city’s housing, planning, transportation, real estate and other departments, working with local consultants, have determined that the best spot for a transit hub is at the 11-acre Pollard Motor Co. location. The transit hub, being called a transit village, will include a multi-modal transit station serving buses and regional rail cars. A mix of market rate and affordable housing will also be built there, as well as some retail uses.
