BOULDER — Five new inductees have been named to the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame, which will hold its seventh annual awards luncheon on Thursday, April 15.

The new inductees are:

* Thomas Brock — Brock founded this own Boulder-based CPA firm, now known as Brock and Co., in 1956. A long-time advocate for small business growth, Brock also supported regional businesses as a venture capitalist. Brock passed away in July 1998.

* Carol Grever Gray — For 23 years Gray was co-owner of Express Services, which in 1994 earned revenues of $425 million. She now serves as board chairman of The Naropa Institute and is involved in community service through several non-profit organizations.

* Wayne Jurgens — Jurgens was a partner for more than 50 years in the business his grandfather founded, now known as Longmont Insurance Professionals. He was a member of the Longmont Chamber for 50 years and active in many civic organizations. Jurgens recently passed away in January.

Rob and Carol Lathrop — The Lathrops opened Louisville Rental Center in 1986 and operated it for 12 years until it was sold in 1998. Both have contributed greatly to the Louisville and county business community, serving on numerous boards.

Russel Shaffer — Shaffer and his wife Ann launched Boulder radio station KBOL-AM in 1947 and were involved with the company for 45 years before its sale in 1992. Shaffer also launched KBVL-FM in 1972 and operated it until 1986. In 1974, Shaffer was named Colorado Broadcaster of the Year.
