Truckers for Troops to present $10K to Veterans Community Project
LONGMONT — Truckers for Troops, a funding and awareness campaign of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, will present a $10,000 donation and 250 care kits to Veterans Community Project, Sept. 24.
Professional truck drivers from across the country, through the Truckers for Troops program, are offering support to veterans at every Veterans Community Project site nationally, including Longmont.
The Wednesday event will feature a ceremonial check presentation.
Veterans Community Project is a nonprofit dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness.
