Pearl Promise plans fundraiser

LONGMONT — Pearl Promise, a Longmont-based nonprofit that supports single-parent families, will conduct a fundraising event, Laugh! For a Cause, May 1.

The event at Grace Place in Berthoud will feature comedian and television personality Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald, along with heavy hors d’oeuvres.

“Laughter has a way of helping us reset — it brings people together and reminds us of what matters most,” Debra Larkin, executive director of Pearl Promise, said in a written statement. “This event is about more than just a fun night out. It’s about coming together as a community to make a real difference in the lives of local children.”

Proceeds from the event will support Pearl Promise programs that provide resources such as reliable transportation, mentoring and emergency support for single-parent families throughout the St. Vrain Valley area.

All funds raised will stay local, directly supporting families in the St. Vrain Valley community. Community members, local leaders, and businesses are encouraged to attend and be part of an evening that combines entertainment with impact.
