Schwazze debuts ‘store-within-a-store’ concept at Fort Collins Star Buds

FORT COLLINS — The Fort Collins Star Buds dispensary location is service as a guinea pig for a new “store-within-a-store” concept from store owner Schwazze Colorado LLC (OTCQX: SHWZ), a Denver-based cannabis portfolio company that previously operated as Medicine Man Technologies Inc.

The concept adds a Standing Akimbo-branded kiosk, which Schwazze calls a “hotspot,” to the existing Star Buds recreational dispensary on South College Avenue. Standing Akimbo is an upscale medical marijuana dispensary concept in Denver that recently expanded into Colorado Springs. 

“Star Buds and Standing Akimbo are two trusted brands. When we surveyed our Northern Colorado customers, they wanted both Star Buds and Standing Akimbo,” Schwazze retail president Collin Lodge said in a prepared statement. “Our new Fort Collins store-within-a-store model is just a lesson in listening to our customer base. This new dispensary concept is all about meeting the customer where they want us to be.”
