Greeley chamber closes in on candidate for president
GREELEY — The Greeley Chamber of Commerce board search committee and its hired executive search firm have identified two finalists for the position of president of the chamber to replace long-time executive Sarah MacQuiddy.
The board and selected others will meet with one of those finalists Wednesday and the other next week, according to sources close to the process.
“We are in the middle of that process now; we should have a final decision next week,” said Bryce Jacobson, publisher of the Greeley Tribune and chairman of the chamber board of directors.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the organization had not identified the candidates or their communities of origin, even to members of the board not directly involved with the process. It was explained that the finalists are employed and may not want their employers to know about their interest in the position.
MacQuiddy, who served 15 years as president and 10 years before that in the chamber’s visitors bureau, used the occasion of the chamber’s 100th anniversary celebration Feb. 21 to announce that she would be retiring this summer. The board hired Waverly Partners LLC, a Cleveland-based executive-search firm, to conduct the search.
