Vail acquiring Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont

BROOMFIELD – Vail Resorts Inc. (NYSE: MTN) based in Broomfield is acquiring Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont for $50 million.

The Denver Post reports that the 485-acre ski resort will be part of Vail’s Epic Pass program for the 2017-18 ski season, which will reduce season pass prices at Stowe — which reached $2,000 for 2016-17 — by about half.
