JBS CEO suspended amid pension-fraud investigation
Meat-packing giant JBS SA, which bases its North American operations in Greeley, is facing turmoil at the top.
The Greeley Tribune reports that CEO Wesley Batista and his brother, JBS chairman Joesley Batista, have been ordered by a Brazilian judge to relinquish their roles with the Sao Paulo-based company “pending the outcome of an investigation into a pension-fraud scheme” that saw some of the country’s largest pension funds defrauded of $2.5 billion.
