Boulder-based Special Aerospace Services opens office in Alabama
BOULDER — Boulder-based engineering firm Special Aerospace Services has opened a new engineering office in Huntsville, Ala., to capitalize on relationships with space and defense contractors there. And SAS chief executive Heather Bulk said Thursday that more growth is on the horizon for the firm’s manufacturing operations in Colorado.
SAS, founded in 2007, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday for its office in Huntsville, nicknamed “Rocket City” for its large aerospace sector. The new office initially will be staffed by two engineers, one who transferred from an SAS office in Florida and the other a new hire.
