Walmart pulls out of Wheat Ridge development
Walmart has dropped its plan to launch a grocery store to anchor the 15-acre Corners at Wheat Ridge mixed-use development at West 38th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard.
According to The Denver Post, the plan to add the Walmart Neighborhood Market had drawn the ire of residents who launched a website two years ago to oppose it even before the Walmart grocer was announced as a tenant. The site for the project has been vacant for several years.
