White Hawk Ranch
“White Hawk Ranch is one of the most desirable luxury neighborhoods in all of Boulder County,” said Barbie Rieger, Realtor with Wright Kingdom Real Estate in Boulder. “It backs up to Boulder County open space to the west and is a short drive to coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. It’s a delightful community.”
Developer Markel Homes broke ground in 2000. There are 56 homes in the subdivision, each on lots that are a minimum of an acre. Some houses sit on properties that measure more than two acres.
Custom-built homes
The homes, which range in size from 6,000 square feet to 11,000 square feet are custom-built, so no two are exactly alike, and each is surrounded by beautifully designed and mature landscapes, featuring gourmet kitchens and outdoor “rooms.” Want a putting green? No problem.
Husband and wife team Brian and Heather Kreuger, owners of Built By Kreuger and Real Estate by Kreuger, built and sold two homes in White Hawk Ranch — one a spec house, the other custom-built for a client. They were drawn to the location and the lot size. From their standpoint, the project held tremendous potential and was unique to the market.
“There is no other neighborhood in Boulder like this one,” Brian Kreuger said. “You can buy a house right in town for the same price points, but you don’t have the spaciousness or the views.”
Heather Kreuger pointed out, “It’s for people who want to experience that true Colorado lifestyle and still have easy access to Boulder and Denver. … We were excited to build here, because it gave us the opportunity to incorporate very fine details and craftsmanship, as well as the finest materials.”
In fact, the Kreugers have coined the term “refined rustic,” which they believe embodies a Colorado style with a touch of elegance and panache.
There are nine active listing in White Hawk Ranch, ranging from $1.6 million to $4.9 million. Two homes closed earlier this year, one selling for a little less than $1.5 million and the other for $2.75 million.
