Fort Collins parking survey now online
FORT COLLINS — The city of Fort Collins is asking for input
on issues related to parking vehicles, including bicycles, in town. A short
online survey to collect comments to help update the city’s parking plan will be available through Sept. 30.
The parking plan provides guidance for the city’s parking management
and was last updated as part of the Fort Collins Downtown Strategic Plan in
2004. It describes parking conditions and key problems, establishes guiding
principles and policies, and recommends parking management and development
strategies.
This update will strategically address key parking issues,
principles, policies and strategies for the Downtown and nearby neighborhoods,
River District and area north of Colorado State University. It will better
define the roles of the City and private sector in the provision of parking and
the management of parking demand. It will provide a current assessment of the
parking demand and supply, an examination of some key questions via public
input, and recommendations for new parking strategies.
