Stacey, Fine among most influential in health care

FORT COLLINS/PHOENIX – Rulon Stacey, president and CEO of
Fort Collins-based Poudre Valley Health System, and Peter Fine, president and
CEO of Phoenix-based Banner Health, are both been listed among the “100
Most Influential People in Healthcare” on Modern Healthcare magazine’s
2011 list.

Stacey, ranked No. 88, was one of three health-care
professionals from Colorado on this year’s list. Also noted were Kent Thiry,
CEO of Denver-based kidney dialysis service provider DaVita Inc., who was ranked
No. 13. Kevin Lofton, president and CEO of Arapahoe County-based Catholic
Health Initiatives, was ranked No. 45.

Fine, ranked No. 85, said he was honored to be selected.
“I’m honored to be recognized among such a prestigious group of industry
leaders who I admire, but I would not be on the list if it weren’t for the hard
work and dedication of the entire Banner Health leadership team who work
tirelessly to serve our patients and make Banner a successful business,”
he said.

Banner, which has hospitals in seven states, owns McKee
Medical Center in Loveland and has a contract to operate North Colorado Medical
Center in Greeley. PVHS owns Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins and Medical
Center of the Rockies in Loveland.
