Local ag lenders, farmers to testify in Greeley next week
GREELEY – The panel charged with overseeing the Troubled Asset Relief Program — also known as TARP — will be in Greeley next week to hear from local lenders and agricultural community representatives.
The Congressional Oversight Panel will hold a field hearing on July 7 to learn about the commercial farm credit market. The Helping Families Save Their Homes Act of 2009 requires the COP to issue a report analyzing commercial farm credit and use of TARP funds to restructure loans. The report is slated for release on July 21.
