Brewer brings back Oktoberfest in Loveland

LOVELAND — Grimm Brothers Brewhouse will bring back Loveland’s original Oktoberfest Saturday at its new home on the Forge Campus.

The event, open to the community, will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on the campus at 815 14th St. SW with craft beer, live music, food, local vendors and community connections.

Originally launched by Grimm Brothers in 2010, Oktoberfest took a break while the brewery transitioned into its new home.

Grimm Brothers moved to the Forge campus in 2023 after more than 10 years at 623 Denver Ave.

“Bringing Oktoberfest back feels like reconnecting a piece of Grimm Brothers’ history with where we are headed next,” Alyssa Wells, Grimm Brothers’ brand manager, said in a prepared statement. “This tradition started here in Loveland in 2010, and now we have the opportunity to bring it back at Forge Campus surrounded by longtime friends, fellow breweries, local businesses and the community that has supported Grimm for more than 15 years.

“What makes the return even more meaningful is being able to turn that celebration into something tangible for Be the Gift. It is a reminder that the best community traditions do more than bring people together. They give us a reason to show up for one another.”

Be the Gift is a Loveland-based nonprofit organization that supports single mothers and their families through home repair and improvement projects. Grimm Brothers will donate $1 from every beer sold during Oktoberfest to the organization.

At 1 p.m., Loveland Mayor Patrick McFall, Loveland Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mindy McCloughan and Be the Gift development and events director Katie Johnson will join Grimm Brothers for an official ceremonial keg tapping and community Prost. Guests are encouraged to gather before 1 p.m., grab a stein and join a toast.

This year’s celebration will bring together 10 brewery and cidery partners, including Grimm Brothers, Loveland Aleworks, Verboten Brewing, Crooked Beech Brewing, Mash Lab Brewing, Sky Bear Brewery and Pub, Climb Hard Cider, Wibby Brewing, Crystal Springs Brewing and Black Tooth Brewing Co.

Live music from Rudy Da’ Polka Guy, Bourbon Brass Band and Mitch & Mack Duo will be provided throughout the day, along with German-inspired food, local makers and vendors, Hammerschlagen, flash tattoos and additional Oktoberfest activities across the Forge property.
