Studio Home plans to build national presence through franchising
LOUISVILLE — Studio Shed Acquisition LLC, a Louisville-based prefabricated-building company that last year adopted the Studio Home trade name, plans to expand its concept across the country through a franchising model.
“Franchisees gain access to a complete precision-engineered business system, including pre-construction support, centralized logistics, technical training, marketing resources and territory development guidance. The company expects qualified partners to be able to launch in as little as 60 to 90 days,” Studio Home said in a recent news release.
On its website, Studio Home wrote that the company, which was founded in 2008, didn’t start with a franchise model in mind. “What became clear — especially in Colorado — is that while the product scales nationally, the business performs best locally. When we operated with strong local presence — controlling the customer experience from design through site work and construction — we saw higher conversion rates, faster project timelines, stronger margins, and better overall customer outcomes. Markets without that true local structure did not perform at the same level.”
Additionally, local operators have expertise in “navigat(ing) regional permitting, site conditions, construction dynamics, and customer relationships,” the release said.
