Sierra Space hires aerospace industry vet as new strategy chief
LOUISVILLE — Sierra Space Corp. has hired Jeff Schrader as chief strategy officer, a role in which he will lead initiatives supporting the company’s scale and expansion priorities, including corporate development, mergers and acquisitions strategy, and planning for franchise wins,” the company said.
Schrader was previously president of SEAKR Engineering LLC and Blue Canyon Technologies LLC.
“Jeff brings a strong combination of strategic leadership, national security expertise, operational discipline and deep understanding of our mission and customer community,” SSC CEO Dan Jablonsky said in a prepared statement. “As we accelerate the business and scale for the future, Jeff will help us create long-term value, strengthen alignment across the enterprise and position Sierra Space to move faster and with greater impact.”Jablonsky is also a new addition to Sierra Space, which spun out of Sierra Nevada Corp. in 2021. Formerly the CEO of Berthoud-headquartered missile- and rocket-propulsion company Ursa Major Technologies Inc., SSC hired Jablonsky last month.
