Snarf’s launches food drive for local food banks

BOULDER —  Snarf’s Sandwiches has launched a food drive through the end of the year at every Snarf’s location in Colorado and Texas. Guests are invited to donate non-perishable food items, all of which will be delivered directly to local food banks serving our communities.

“At Snarf’s, we believe in taking care of people in our communities who need a helping hand,” Snarf’s founder Jimmy Seidel said in a written statement. “Our Food Drive is one of the ways we can make a real impact. Every can, every box and every donation helps families who may not know where their next meal is from.”

How to participate:

• Visit any Colorado or Texas Snarf’s Sandwiches location (excluding Denver International Airport) from now through Dec. 31.
• Bring shelf-stable food items such as canned vegetables, soups, pasta, rice, peanut butter and cereal. Do not bring glass or expired items, or anything that requires refrigeration.
• Drop donations into the collection bin at any store.

All donations will be distributed to local food banks in the same communities where they were collected. Additional donations can be made to the food banks directly.

Snarf’s also supports hunger relief through GiftAMeal, providing more than 3,000 meals per month to local food banks. The program enables customers to address food insecurity in their neighborhoods. For each photo someone takes of their Snarf’s meal on the GiftAMeal app, Snarf’s funds a meal at a local food bank. Snarf’s was founded in Boulder in 1996.
