Charlotte’s Web’s 3Q loss unchanged, revenue down

BOULDER — Charlotte’s Web Holdings (TSX: CWEB), a Louisville-based maker of hemp-derived CBD wellness products, has reported an unchanged net loss and a lower revenue for the third quarter, amid a series of strategic moves.

The company on Wednesday reported a net loss of $5.8 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, which was unchanged from the same quarter a year ago. However, revenue was reported at $11.5 million, down from $12.6 million in the same quarter of 2024.

“Q3 2025 marked continued progress in our strategic transformation as we advanced key operational and commercial initiatives that position us for improved performance in 2026,” Bill Morachnick, Charlotte’s Web CEO, said in a prepared statement. “We continue to build on our success in the medical channel and have recently launched a scientific advisory board to support our efforts with continuing medical education, and accelerate clinical validation and health-care integration.

“In manufacturing, we completed the internalization of Brightside gummy production,” he said,m “achieving multi-million-unit manufacturing capacity that enhances our innovation velocity and cost structure,” Morachnick said. “Our expanded sleep portfolio — now featuring five products across Charlotte’s Web and Brightside brands — is resonating with consumers, with our CBN Stay Sleep Gummies now our second-best-selling gummy product.

“The promising early performance of our new Brightside hemp-derived delta-9 products, combined with some positive regulatory signals from Washington, reinforces our confidence in the substantial opportunities ahead as we execute our plans in 2026.”

“Our disciplined cost management and channel optimization continue to reshape Charlotte’s Web’s financial profile,” added Erika Lind, the company’s chief financial officer. “The additional expense reductions implemented during Q3 position us to deliver approximately $9 million in total annualized cost savings in 2026. These structural improvements provide an encouraging roadmap for 2026.”

During the quarter, Charlotte’s Web announced the formation of a Scientific Advisory Board to accelerate the company’s medical channel strategy and reinforce its legacy of science-backed innovation. The board is led by chief scientific officer Dr. Marcel Bonn-Miller, a cannabinoid researcher with more than 20 years of experience and approximately 200 published research papers.

Charlotte’s Web also appointed M. Borgia Walker to its board of directors, bringing the total number to six and replacing Jonathan Atwood, who retired.
