Crocs earnings report prompts volatile trading day

Crocs Inc. (Nasdaq: CROX) shares opened higher Thursday, as the casual-footwear company reported better-than-expected quarterly results, but the price eventually retreated, closing at $82.54, down 2% from $84.69 the prior day. The stock had been as high as $89 during the day.
